I was wondering what i would need to do, to install these on my 1990 ltd 302EFI. I realize the bolt holes are larger on the heads, Is there anything else I need to know? Also will my stock intake manifold work with these heads without fabrication, or will i have to get my mani planed?
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
Stephen
I’m not 100% sure how hard or how big of a project this is but my transmission X-member rusted though

(as you can see my car has seen its share of mud recently)
I’m still driving it around (just not being too heavy on the throttle)
I got a quote from my mechanic and it was something around $250
does that sound right? and how hard of a job is this to do myself?
THanks
I have 2002 CV Sport with no working AC, Heater,Vent blower. I brought it to the service station today and they said I need a blower moter. They checked the fuse and said it was OK. Do you think they are right? Does the blower moter only last 8 years? I bought it new and it ahs 119,000 miles on it.
Thanks for your help.
thanks in advance
Still having problems with the wiper system on my 97 Grand Marquis.
First the wipermotor failed. This I replaced and all was ok for a while.
For the past few weeks however the wipers wouldn’t go off if i’d hit the low or high speed setting.
I could switch between the settings however, but the only way to stop them was to cut the power.
Sometimes the wipers would go to the park position when i needed them to work…
8 out of 10 times when I switch to off they won’t go to park at all. Just need to get lucky..
Today I removed the wiper control arm (also the indicator switch arm) from the steering column and opened it up.
Cleaned the complete inside and found 2 wires cut. Resoled those wires, put everything back together and looked how it would operate.
Now the wipers will function normally on all interval settings, low and high settings and will return from these settings as well.
They now however will not go in the park mode..
Whatever I do, they won’t go down anymore.
Still the wipers will remain on and will not go off untill I cut the power when I use the washer fluid setting. (Didn’t know how to describe it otherwise)
So after a long day of trial and much error appearantly I now am stuck.
When I switch between wiper settings I hear loud clicks coming from the middle of the dash, somewhat if there is some short circuiting going on there.
Don’t know if that’s normal or if it should be absolutely silent when operating.
I don’t know what to do anymore about this and if it gets to hard from here I’ll take it to the garage.
Thanks in advance from Holland,
Vincent
"Per my Son"
A few days ago my Son told me his brakes were starting to get bad. Bad meaning loosing pressure. Him and his buddy bled the brakes. However, the brakes got worse. *Note: this is a police version of the Crown Vic. I went out to take a look see. We bled the RR and only got a dribble out. Tried the LR and got the same thing. We bled the master cylinder and got the same thing. Keep in mind my son replaced most of the brake system about 6 months ago, that’s what worries me. I was wondering what the correct procedure is for test the brake system from the master cylinder back? I’m not sure if the fact that it’s a police version would have a lot to doing the test.
Thanks in advance,
Tuff

i have a 2003 crown victoria lx, with 180,000km on it, that i bought like two months ago, and its great, except for the fuel, its horrible.
20liters of fuel gets me 40-50km
you do the math, btw i never floored it, and i was very light on the pedal, but it was mostly city driving.
and when i do floor it, its not that different to be honest which is weird :whoaa:
a very slight difference, to me the fuel is going fast either way.
i recently changed my manifold, all spark plugs, gasket, coils, and serviced it and it didnt make a difference, although those for another problem which was the manifold, anywayz went back to the garage today, and the dude told me to get an air flow meter sensor thing ‘the one connected to the air intake’ but hes not sure that the prob, and he says there’s no way to check, unless you buy the part and check for yourself, he said it either that or the computer :booty:
Thats like 800dollars and hes not sure if that would fix it.
i would appreciate any advice on how/what to do
thanks
btw bought the car used it for 2 weeks, the manifold problem came up, kept it at showroom to be sold, and some ****ers test drove my car, broke the ajustable pedal, and hit the front right tier on a pavement, so my alignment is horrible, it goes to the right
oh yeah they also ****ed up my drive shaft.
the thought of selling had crossed my mind again, but damn its a comfortable car, it might not be fast, or handle that well, but i can fall asleep in it, if i do sell it ill probably end up with a corolla which is not ideal for a dude thats 6,1 and weights 140kg:priest:
just remembered when i start the car: sometimes it takes a few second like every normal car like chick chick chick and voom
and sometime my vic just goes chickvoom, that fast, less then a second.
my a/c goes warm when i floor it too, car feels very weak when the a/c fan is on high
my car makes a ”kreieek” sound sometimes when changing gears while flooring, from the engine compartment
btw does anyone know what a black thing, that looks like a card reader with a red light called V.T.P is doing under my steering wheel, its not stock thats for sure
im sorry for asking so many questions, thought they maybe related, thanks
