A couple of years back I did a transmission rebuild. We had to drop the subframe to get the transmission back in. The steering column came out but we marked it. We must have must messed up putting it back together because my helper and I got it back in a few degrees off. Anyone have directions on how to fix this?

I have another problem, starting from a stop, some turns, and bumps there is a rattle/snap coming from the front passenger floor board area. I have replaced the pass axle and sway bar endlinks. It does not make noise during most driving including hwy speeds.
What could this be?

Been researching the $hit out of brake pads recently for my car and I came across this website that sells Kevlar Metallic brake pads? I’ve heard of semi-metallic and ceramic but never Kevlar Metallic, anyone have any idea what the quality of these pads are? discbrakepads.net sells them and there is a coupon I found for 10% off (brakesale-0930-2010). Thoughts? Comments? Input?!? Is this a long life material?

I have a set of new Hawk brake pads. I’ve already installed the rears on my ‘03 SVTF, and will install the fronts this weekend.

I know that it’s advisable to "bed" new pads, but I’ve encountered differing opinions as to how it should be done. Some say to drive the car and perform a bunch of gentle braking stops, increasing the pressure each time, eventually leading up to some hard brake applications. In other words, progressively harder braking to bed the pads to the discs.

Note: I have crossed-drilled/slotted rotors on all four corners.

Have an 01 focus thats going in and out of alignment. Drives fine for a while, but some unkown series of events will cause it to pull to the right, stays that way for hours. Have inspected ball joints, tie-rods, installed new strut assemblies (coil was broken on one side). Can’t seem to find anything obvoius. Any ideas? Really want to get front end aligned, but afraid of which position it may be in when I take it in.

I need new rear brakes for my 06 ZX3. They are the drums… Boo… No I cant afford to get the conversion.

So where do I get them? Should I just get new pads, or new drums too? I dont think the drums are bad, but my pads are cracked. Also, do you get all new springs and such? Or just reuse the old ones?

On another note, my ebrake isnt holding my car anymore… Could it just be because the pads need replaced? Or is it out of adjustment somehow? Thanks!

I’m looking into purchasing the rear disc swap kit from Capaldi for my 09. Is there any 08+ guys who have done this swap? Apparently you need some extra hardware to make it work. Any tips or pics would be greatly appreciated!!

I want to get some Motegi TRAKLITE 1.0 but they only make them in 5 lug.
does anyone know a good conversion kit out there, ive looked but haven’t had muck luck. Or should i just look for another set of wheels [mecry]

I was doing a little cleaning on my rotors and calipers yesterday and noticed this bolt does absolutely nothing. I had already removed the caliper and rotor, and took it off to see if anything happened. Nothing loosened or moved. Any idea what it’s suppose to be used for ? This is not a pic from my car. The bolt on my car is on the top, near the caliper.

how is it going need some help i need wheel studs that are about a inch half longer that stock for my 2000 ford focus does anyone know where i can find some at?

Anyone know if i ran these coilovers with roush struts and shock ill be good?
